Marie-Jeanne Combredet learned her craft at Givaudan in Switzerland and worked near Grasse before returning, in 2008, to her native Morocco to found Héritage Berbère in Marrakech. Her perfumes translate the color and scent of the souks into oriental compositions — oud, rose, saffron, cedar, amber. The bottles are dressed by Moroccan artisans with braid and tassels, a different color for each scent. The “Oasis” line takes the names of Saharan oases. Morocco, to wear.
