Perfume comes alive on warm pulse points — the neck, the wrists, behind the ears. A few sprays will carry it through the day, its facets opening up on the skin little by little. You can spritz it on clothing too, where it often lasts even longer — just keep it off delicate fabrics like silk.
About the brand
When Jean Laporte founded L’Artisan Parfumeur in 1976, he all but invented niche perfumery. In 1988 he started over — with Maître Parfumeur et Gantier, “master perfumer and glover.” The name nods to an old French guild: the gantiers-parfumeurs, who once scented leather gloves to mask the smell of tanning — an art that grew into French perfumery itself. Laporte’s scents — Ambre Précieux, Patchouli 1969, Grain de Plaisir — are classic, rich, characterful. French tradition, from one of its pioneers.
