Boucherouite are handmade rugs traditionally crafted by Berber women in Morocco. The term “Boucherouite” comes from Berber and literally means “scraps of fabric”. These rugs are made from recycled textiles such as cotton, wool and synthetic materials, often sourced from old clothing, fabric remnants and other textiles.
