J.B. Filz

In 1809, in the middle of the Napoleonic Wars, Anton Filz opened a perfumery in Vienna; his son Johann Baptist gave it the initials it still bears. J.B. Filz became an Imperial and Royal Court Perfumer, and its “Imperial Violet” is said to be the violet scent of Empress Elisabeth — to an unchanged recipe.
