Perfumer Christophe Raynaud had long dreamed of a fruity liqueur with floral accents, as sweet as a veil of honey slipping down the throat — almost a mysterious potion. He made it the heart of the fragrance, its soul, its very essence. In the base, too, he favored simplicity: a leathery, animalic note suggested by oud wood, perfectly attuned to saffron and vanilla pods. The result reflects the delectable opulence of vanilla, tinted with spices and adorned with vibrant woods.
