Lothantique produces entirely in France, leaves out parabens, PEG, and silicones, doesn’t test on animals, and uses recyclable packaging; its soaps are almost fully biodegradable, and many products are refillable.
Lothantique began in 1920 as a small distillery of fragrant plants at the foot of Mont Lure in upper Provence, founded by Joséphine Mouranchon, who grew lavender. In 1987 her grandchildren, the Vogade family, revived the house under a new name. The Provençal way of life stayed: soaps, creams, home scents, candles — above all the “Lavandes de Nestor,” named for the uncle who once distilled lavender. Everything is made in France, the fragrances in Grasse. Provence, to touch and to smell.
